Shaving Gel

Shaving Gel : First off, let me tell you that shaving with a shaving gel is actually not that bad. Though it does take some getting used to, for some it is perfectly okay to use. It helps that with a quick shave, you can get away with shaving your legs and back (which in some cultures is a compliment). It is also a great option for women who want to shave the hair below their bikini line without having to worry as much about irritation and ingrown hairs.

Why Should You Use Shaving Gel?

There are a number of reasons that make the shaving gel business a viable option. The first is that it is fairly inexpensive. Most shaving gels are thrown away after use. Shaving in bulk is also an option. This saves on both the throwing away of gel and the cost of replacing things such as forgotten shaving brushes.replacing the brushes can get expensive.

Second, shaving with a shaving gel reduces the “step” of the shave. By running your fingers through your hair, rather than just one long movement to get it done, you are reducing the number of strokes to a more reasonable number. This is especially important if you are shaving with a straight razor. The straight razor, and the shaving gel combination, takes atiches to accomplish the goal of shaving. This can get pretty deep in places and you don’t necessarily want a close shave.

Third, you can also use shaving gel to help moisturize your razor after you shave. This is not so much like the moisturizer that you add to a soap or a shower, but rather the shaving gel that is built into the razor itself. Some people who use electric shavers like having that option.  Others prefer to use a wet shave (perfect for those who use shaving creams.) Either can work, it is just a matter of preference.

Now, it is important to keep in mind that you should never actually take liquid shaving or any other type of shaving off of your body. You never know if you have an actual shaving injury or you are just using shaving gel. You should never rub the gel directly on your skin, that is never recommended and is never healthy. It is bad for your skin and it will irritate it. You should also be careful that you don’t use the same blade that you’re using with the shaving gel. You can also use a whetstone if you are shaving with a blade. Some people extreme, some people don’t, but the point is that shaving with a whetstone is a good idea, just don’t use more than one blade on your wet shave (that would be crazy!).

Finally, be careful that you don’t drink while you are shaving or you’ll ruin your shaving gel. Once the water has soaked into the gel, it can be very hard to get it out of the gel. You probably shouldn’t drink while you are shaving, but if you must, try to bring a mug of water with you as well.

Hopefully these tips can help you avoid shaving nicks or ingrown hairs while braces at the same time! These are some of the best tips I could possibly give you, and I hope that they help you achieve a close shave as well.
